Played this course with a few friends and my Dad last summer. The course was challenging but fun and incredibly well kept.

It's a family run business and they definitely know how to make you feel welcome and appreciated.

I highly recommend this course and encourage you to see for yourself.

Course was in terrific shape based on their ridiculously low green fee. We had a large group with some friendly competitions and cocktails which made this venue terrific!

My wife and I really enjoyed playing at Heather Hills. The course was well maintained with some challenges
along the way. Another plus: the cost was very reasonable. A great place to take the whole family golfing.

What a great course! It is a quick round of golf on a challenging design.

The staff were really great and I was surprised to find out there are rainbow trout in the lakes. Definitely taking my fishing rod next time!

Out today for a quick walk before dark. I'm been a member now for 2 years and use the course a lot.

Only 7 minutes from home and very seldom have to book a time.
Greens usually in good shape( 2 with snow on them today). The water ponds offer great opportunity to get over any water fears. As well as a number of sand traps to help give you a little practice.

Members have access to bbq's which we used a lot as well as a pool for a quick dip after a game. Or even a fishing pond to try the fly rod out in.
It's just an all round great place to head to.

I've played Heather Hills several times with my two sons. This is one of the most unique golf courses I've played....it's got all the features (bunkers, ponds, 3 sets of tees, etc) that a championship course has, just on a smaller scale.
They allow you to bring a cooler and some food to throw on the BBQ and will even let you use their BBQ free of charge. We pay the green fee and can play all day for one price.
An all around great and relaxing experience.

What a disappointing day. We pay $90 on a Sunday in August to play punched greens? I seriously couldn't believe the absolute terrible quality that these greens were in. Give the players some discount if your greens are this bad. I will not play this course again, and will definitely recommend my friends to play Fairview instead of this course.

BCgolfguide asked Joe about the incident and he replied....

You know I didn't and now I regret it. I made a joke to my buddies at the start of the round, saying lets ask for our money back and go to Fairview, but no one took me seriously. I did make a comment to a guy in the pro shop when we made the turn, and he just responded by saying "everyone does their sanding now". Well after we completed our round, there was only a young kid working in the pro shop, so I didn't think it would be very useful to complain to him, and everyone was eager to get back to Vancouver, so I just left it. :(

We recently had a family reunion in the Innisfail area and had occasion to play the Innisfail course which was reported to be one of the better courses in the area. A total of 7 were in our party and consisted of one threesome followed by a foursome on the course. The course was decent enough to play at a cost of $85 per person which included a power cart. We weren't able to use our Tee Time discount book as we teed off prior to 3:00pm as stipulated in ther fine print. Also, no senior discounts are offered.
Our game started on an enjoyable note through the first five or perhaps six holes on the Spruce 9. It was at this stage that we started being pushed by the lady golf marshall to speed up our game as the group in front was now ahead by approximately a full hole and the group behind was backed up. The group ahead of our foursome was a threesome as well as the group behind being a threesome. Looking back, the threesome generally arrived at the tee-off only after we were part way down the fairway. I suppose we could have played as a threesome to keep the same pace however we would have had to take turns missing a hole. We were continually pressured by the lady marshall the balance of the front nine which we were able to finish in any event in a time of 2 hrs. 15 minutes.
Fortunately we had an alternate marshall on the back nine not on a power trip who was receptive to our pace of play. However our game by this point was no longer enjoyable. We completed our back nine in 2 hrs. 15 min., the same of the front for an overall time of 4 1/2 hrs on a long week-end Sunday. Quite reasonable in our estimation.
We wouldn't go back to the Innisfail course which I suppose doesn't matter as we don't reside in the area. However a few in our party do reside in the area and advised they wouldn't go back. Would they recommend to other locals, probably not.
Unless your expert golfers I'd avoid the Innisfail course particularly if the same lady marshall is present.

We love this course so much we extended our trip by another day to play it again. The course was in magnificent shape, the design was awe inspiring, the play was stunning. We're definitely headed back to play again.
